I forgot to mention yesterday that we passed some interesting things on the road to and from Bristol. On the way down we passed a railway carriage on a low-loader lorry, and on the way back, we passed - in another low-loader - Thomas the Tank Engine. It didn't have a face, but it was the same sort of tank engine and painted in the same sky blue livery.
Now my question is, why is the Government trying to get us to travel by rail when rail transport is travelling by road?
Over the last couple of days, I've been having an interesting e-mail correspondence with Catspaw who writes excellent Stargate fan fiction. This was à propos my interest in Latin. It suddenly struck me how bizarre it was to have two ladies of mature years discussing in all seriousness how to express erotic science fiction in correct Latin!
