*Like Stargate S.G.-1, it has brilliant characters played by very good actors.
Unlike later seasons of Stargate S.G.-1, it also has interesting plots,
excellent characterization, sparkling dialogue, and humour that's actually funny.
And
you don't get inappropriate 'ship shoved down your throat at every opportunity!
Or homages. Or Running-up-and-down-corridors™ in lieu of dialogue.
