This is Major Carter as I see her, and as I would like to see her - an intelligent, capable scientist and a brave, decisive Air Force officer who just happens to be a woman. I'd also like to see her as a team player who has a strong friendship with all her colleagues.

Fat chance, I hear you cry.

And this is Sam the Drip, who's been around since Season 4 and has been front and center of our screens for way too much of Season 7, IMNSHO.

Speaking as scientist who, like Sam, just happens to be a woman, I find it very degrading to turn the character into an incompetent floozie capable of deserting her post in battle.

I just wish T.W.I.C. would buy a clue and realize that professional women are perfectly capable of working with an attractive superior without behaving like a lovesick teenager to the detriment ot their work.

So please - give the poor woman her spine back!

It seems I am not alone in my opinion of Sam's (and Jack's) blatent disregard for the oath that they took when they joined the US.A.F.
